HMD Global, the licensee of the Nokia brand, is preparing to expand its Lumia series-inspired smartphone family. The company, which recently announced a device called Skyline, is now working on HMD Hyper. What does the mid-range smartphone promise?
HMD Hyper features leaked
In terms of design, the HMD Hyper will resemble the Nokia Lumia-style Skyline launched a few weeks ago. It will feature a flat screen with wide bezels and curved edges. The display will reportedly feature an FHD+ OLED panel with a high refresh rate of 120Hz.
Hyper will likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset and 8GB of RAM. It will come with 256GB of internal storage and include a microSD card slot.
It was stated that the cameras on HMD Hyper will include a 50 Megapixel main sensor with OIS support. It will also have a 13 Megapixel secondary and 8 Megapixel third sensor. On the selfie side, it will have a 50 Megapixel front camera that can record 60 frames per second Full HD video. The rear camera is claimed to be able to shoot 30 FPS 4K video.
Other features include a 4700mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. This suggests that it will have lower specs and be cheaper than the Skyline.
